A lot of internet marketers make a living by selling internet marketing products to other internet marketers. There are new internet marketing products coming out every day and in all price ranges.

When a new product comes out, every other internet marketer starts talking ‘big’ about that product and they try to get their followers to buy that product. And for every product sold, they earn a commission

But let me try and be honest with you guys today – I don’t actually have any problem with this model. The guys releasing the new products are doing their job and the guys promoting the products are also doing their job.

The only problem I have is with the buyers.

Go buy the product, only if it genuinely meets your needs – otherwise listen to all the hype and ignore. Don’t fall a prey to it.

One of the main reason why people keep buying one course after the other is because they are looking for a secret ingredient. They believe that there is some secret ingredient which is making some internet marketers very rich – a hidden formula. And they are hoping to find that hidden gem in the course.

But the truth is you probably already know all that you really need to know to make your riches in internet marketing. The secret ingredient is not so ‘secret’ at all – the only secret to the riches is hard work with focus, commitment and persistence thrown in.

A lot of these buyers are ‘new course addicts’. They keep buying but don’t implement anything that they read in these courses (that is of course that they are at least reading the courses they are buying).

What annoys me the most, is that these guys come back and complain later about the pricey products and launches and how everyone is promoting each other etc etc…No one forced them to buy – It was their decision.

I make very few purchases online – I have so far made only two purchases – Both have made me heaps of money already – And one of them is Super Affiliate Handbook. And the other, I will reveal later !!!

You really can’t change what others are doing – You stay focused – Don’t fall a victim to the hype – Buy only what you need – And remember, most of the times you actually don’t need anything more than you already have.

Today, I officially launched my new affiliate site – I have around 25 posts in the site and will be writing more in the near future. I did not want wait till my posts are complete – then I will never finish it. So I decided to make the necessary changes to the presentation and launch it – More posts can come later.

I built this site using the methods mention in Super Affiliate Handbook. From tomorrow I will start promoting the site and will be using the methods mentioned in the book.

Super Affiliate Handbook is an excellent book – and I am so glad I purchased it. Everything is outlined in there in detailed steps – all that you have to do is put the steps into practice.

I absolutely love what I do for my living. For me work is not ‘work’. It is more like a hobby. It is not a chore – It is something I look forward to.

I work really long hours but don’t really feel the pain of working these long hours. I have absolutely no complaints about the long hours. If anything, I wish I could work for more hours.

A lot of people wrongly assume that making money online is easy. Only the people who are in this business know how much work it really involves.

Like in any business, it involves a lot of long nights, early starts – and only after all the hard yards we slowly start seeing the profits coming in.

Building any business involves a lot of hard work – not for a day or a week or a month but for many months. And this continued hard work is not possible unless you are passionate about what you do.

If you are not passionate about what you do for living, the long hours will soon become a chore and soon after that you will lose interest in continuing forward – And even if you do continue moving forward, your heart will not be in the work – and this will show in the quality of your output.

Finding what you are passionate about is not always easy – For some their hobby is their passion and these people can build a business around their hobby. For me, I was not particularly passionate about any of hobbies. I spent quite some time figuring out what I am really really passionate about. But no luck – Nothing came to me.

And so rather than wasting more time thinking and analyzing, I started out as a freelance software programmer. After a couple of hard months, I started doing quite well – the work kept me quite busy for more than 5 years. While I was still working in this business, I stumbled across internet marketing and slowly I started learning more about it – And within a year of my first encounter, I gave up my software business and started full time as an internet marketer.

So, what I am trying to say here is – if you don’t know what you are passionate about, and have already spent some time trying to figure out what it is you want to do, then don’t waste more time…Start your business today – It doesn’t have to be something you are absolutely passionate about – Just Start – Along the way, you will find your true passion.

I am so glad that 7 years after starting my first business, I now know what I am truly passionate about. And because of how passionate I am about what I do for my living, my work is not ‘work’ – It is so much fun !!!!

I have already had two cups of coffee this morning – It is 10:30 on Monday morning here in Sydney. I have a couple of more working hours and am looking forward to finishing up the tasks for the day.

I really want to have another of cup of coffee – My mind is asking for some – I have a limit of 3 cups for a day and I like to have my third one after my afternoon nap –

What to do ? Too much of a dilemma.

You know what I am just going to go to the kitchen and get myself a cup of coffee – Not my fault – It is my taste buds that is forcing me to….:-)

It is Friday night. I am watching the movie ‘The Holiday’, enjoying my cup of hot coffee and also typing this post – can it get any better ?

Past two days have been a bit hard for me though – Things in business did not go as planned – There are these couple of keywords I am trying to rank on the first page of Google for – I am working hard at it – and slowly approaching the first page.

On Thursday, I woke up feeling a bit down – this feeling only multiplied when I checked my rankings and found that I am still on the same spot I was four days ago.

To tell you the truth, I have been improving my rankings quite consistently over the past month – Just because my rankings did not improve in the past four days, there is no reason to feel dejected.

But since I started my day feeling a bit low, I was looking at everything with a negative outlook. And so the negativity spiraled from there – and by the end of the day I was feeling really miserable – and all this intense feeling for no ‘real’ reason.

By negative thoughts I don’t mean thinking negatively about others – by negative thoughts I mean having negative thoughts about myself….

I started my Friday also being a bit hard on myself. But by midday I realized what I was doing to myself – I decided to fight it…

And it is almost the end of the day now and I am happy to tell you that I am feeling much better now – I am not my old cheery self yet but I am much better than what I was yesterday.

Feeling a bit low about oneself from time to time is quite common. Everyone goes through it. I don’t mind letting myself feel low when there is a good enough reason – In my current case though, there is no good reason – all the reasons are reasons of my own imagination. And that is why I decided to fight it and not waste one more day…

So, this morning I decided to take things a bit lightly – I watched a lot of television, with a laptop – Watching television took my mind off the mundane things – And because I was working, I was working slowly working down my day’s task list – and this made me feel good.

When you are down because of some ‘real reasons’ then you spend some time to think things through – But for times likes this, when there is no ‘real’ reason at all, when feeling down is mainly caused by being pessimistic about oneself then it is important to fight it.

And now it is almost the end of the day – and am really feeling a lot better

I love the Titan theme on my blog – It has a very clean, professional and elegant outlook – I think so . I have used Titan theme since the first day of this blog and don’t plan it to change it anytime in the near future.

One thing I don’t like with Titan theme though is the font size and the font itself.

The font size is way too small and I strongly suspect that the small size had a big role to play in the very low attention span of some of my visitors.

This morning, I tweaked my master.css and changed the font type and size and I am loving the new look. I will post an update in a few days to let you know how the increase in font size is working out.

One other thing I did was to remove the date stamp from the home page. Previously I had removed the date stamp on the individual posts but left the date stamp on the main page intact.

This morning, I tweaked the index.php and removed the date stamp from the main page. I did this for two reasons – One was because I don’t like dates on my posts – don’t want to display the age of my post – because most visitors will use the age as the primary criteria in deciding whether they want to stay and read on or move away.

The second reason I did this was because in Titan theme, the date on the main page occupies way too much space and as a result the post width is reduced significantly. By removing the date, I was able to increase the width of the post as well (again tweaked the master.css to increase the width).

The last thing I did was to change the background color to white – White is what most blogs I read use – And I have felt it was easier to read when the background was all white. And so I changed my background too. I had to change the signature background to white as well – so that it did not stick out with a different background. I used my favorite online signature website to change my signature.

It looks like this week I have been writing only of my problems – It has been one of those weeks for me in my business – Today I found out of one of my pages has still not been indexed by Google.

I wrote this page in February (around the 20th). It still has not been picked up by Google. I linked to this new page from a couple of existing pages on the site – Both these pages were visited by Google in early March by not my new page.

I thought when a page is visited by Google Bot, the bot also goes around to other pages that this page links to.

The page which still has not been picked up by Google is a sales page I wrote for one of the products I am an affiliate of. I am selling it through my clickbank id. You can view my sales page here – how to become a virtual assistant.

I know this blog is indexed quite regularly (almost every day) – So I want to see if this page gets picked up now (since I have provided a link here). I will come back and update in 2 to 3 days.

Having a tough time with FaceBook – I have always hated its interface – Too unfriendly and nothing is obvious – This morning I noticed that it is puling only one post on my fan page – Should be easy to change this but just don’t know where to go and change – I am sure FaceBook would have hidden this feature some place where it is not obvious to anyone – anyone except the person who wrote it…I have already spent 30 minutes on it this morning – Moving away from it for sometime now…

I am feeling really blah day today – Hardly got anything much done at all – Actually, the day did not start well and that kind of spiraled through to the rest of the day.

My morning coffee and my walk on my tunturi was good – After that I started work on my you tube channel. I wanted to create a channel called ‘ImBizJourney’ – This you tube channel was going to be my central you tube channel – just like this blog.

I did a couple of things wrong in my set up and don’t know what got into me, I thought let me start all over rather than trying to fix this -

And so I deleted my ImBizJourney channel (with the intention of re-creating it).

After a couple of attempts to re-creating this channel, I realized that once you delete it, you can’t use that user name again – What a pain !!!! I can reclaim the channel name by communicating with their support department – I have been trying to contact them and so far no good luck. I will keep you posted…

And then I set out to create a facebook business page – and had quite a few issues there as well – I will be writing a separate post about it and so I will spare you the details in this post.

And then there is the adwords – Adwords and me don’t go well together. I have tried adwords couple of times last year but did not have any luck – conversion rate was miserable. Last week I decided to spend some money (around 50 dollars) on adwords again and see how it goes – I set up proper conversion metrics – I am tracking every click – And so far, after more than 75% of the budget gone, I have made no sales from my clicks.

I am going to give it another couple of days and on Thursday if there is no progress, I am going to pause my campaigns. I will then finally decide that adwords is not my cup of tea – and I should stick to SEO. Once I make the decision, I will be relieved – currently the tension of why it is not working, monitoring it constantly is not helping my work.

Days like today come and go – I have had super productive days for more than 10 days now and then today was a complete opposite. That’s okay – I am doing a couple of things here and there, taking it a bit easy and hopefully tomorrow I should be back on track – I know I will
