Hop Link Directly To ClickBank’s Checkout Order Page

by ImBizJourney

If you want to promote a ClickBank product as an affiliate then you have to use a hop link – ClickBank provides you with a hop link for every product and this hop link will direct your visitors to the merchant’s sales copy. Sometimes this can be quite annoying…

When promoting e-books I usually write a detailed review – In this review I don’t want to use the hop link – because hop link will take my visitors to the merchants sales copy page. I am doing the selling myself and so I don’t want to waste any of my visitors valuable time by taking them to an another sales copy page.

Moreover if the visitors are willing to buy the product after reading my copy, they might sometimes change their mind after reading another whole page of sales copy. I don’t want to miss out like this and hence would like to link straight to ClickBank’s order / checkout page.

ClickBank does not give you the code for linking straight to the merchant’s order page. It only gives you the hop link. But the good news is that it is quite easy and straightforward to get the order page code from the hop link.

Here is how you do this:

  • This is your traditional clickbank hop link

    http://clickbank.net/sell.cgi?YOURAFFILIATEID_MERCHANTID/ProductNumber/ProductName

  • Replace YOURAFFILIATEID with your ClickBank id.
  • In ClickBank marketplace, place the cursor on the product you wish to promote
This will display the link to the merchant page on the status bar.

This link will have the merchant id (just before the word ‘hop’)

  • To get the ProductNumber and ProductName, go to the merchant’s sales copy page. Place the cursor on the Buy Now link (or Order Now link – basically the link to the checkout page).

When you place the cursor on that link, the product number and product name will be displayed in the status bar.

That’s it – replace all the elements appropriately and place the code on your sales page. Now, click the link on your sales page and make sure it all works fine. If all is okay then at the bottom of the checkout page, your ClickBank id should be displayed.

Best,

This is something my husband and I have tried to find out how to do previously, but we were unable to find out how to do it.
