How Am I Feeling Right Now ?

by ImBizJourney

I couple of weeks ago I wrote about feeling overwhelmed – I started the year feeling really good and focused. I am still feeling the same way – In fact I have never felt this focused in my 7 years of working from home. But lately though, home front has been really really busy and this is affecting my work schedule.

feeling-overwhelmed The year started with summer holidays – kids at home – had lovely time with them – But it was way too busy – too many social commitments – All fun and great but left me feeling completely exhausted.

And then the school started – My son started pre-school this year and my daughter is in year 3.

Once the school began, the routine returned – I finally have some time to dig into the things I need to do. Beginning of this month, I made my task list for the month – Most of the tasks were actually carried over from previous month.

I am now looking at the task list, half of the month already gone, and I have huge amount of outstanding tasks – I am not even half way down the list. Feeling completely overwhelmed – And feeling a bit ‘blah’ :-(

I am trying to tell myself that from now I will have more time to concentrate on my work – But at the moment no amount of consoling is working as I am way too overwhelmed with all that I have to do.

Today is again a busy day as my son is at home and his friend and friend’s mom are coming over. So I will not have much time to work – if I am lucky I should be able to squeeze in half an hour to a hour.

As I am writing this post, I am starting to feel better – :-) . I am having my cup of coffee as I am typing this (with one hand). Coffee together with sharing with you all how I am feeling right now, is making me feel better. Thank You !!!

I need to get through my task list this month. Can’t repeat what happened in January. I am determined not to carry over any tasks to next month.

I am going to work through the list – one task at a time. I am going to do it – no excuses.

I will come back at the end of the month and share with you my task list for February and how I went.

Best,
