My Blog Commenting Strategy

by ImBizJourney

Blog Commenting is an effective way of building back links to your web page – Not reciprocal links but one way links. Some people think it is old fashioned way of getting links and we should put our efforts into something more effective.

But from my personal experience, blog commenting is still very effective – I have many of pages ranked well in Google today – and blog commenting made a major part in that.

blog-commenting-strategy Today, I am going to share with you all my blog commenting strategy:

Some internet marketers pick out the blogs in their niche and target these blogs for commenting – I am too lazy to do all that scanning and picking. I follow a simple method. I have a Google Alert set up for the keyword I am targeting. The alerts are all automatically transferred to separate folder (so that they are not in my face). Every morning I go through these folders (one folder for each keyword and at a time I target a maximum of 20 keywords) and comment on appropriate blog posts.

If you are the first one to comment on a blog post (especially if you are the first one on a popular blog) then you will get more traffic – True and I agree with this strategy. But I find it too hard to strategise like this – If I am the first one, so be it – If I am not the first one, so be it too – If I have something meaningful to say, I will say it – irrespective of whether I am the first, last or middle. I can’t time when I am commenting on blogs.

Make sure your comments are not spamy – Add something meaningful – By meaningful, I don’t mean that it has to be highly intellectual or highly thought out – Comment on how you find the post helpful or just your view point on the topic.

When commenting some people add the keyword they are targeting in the name field – This is done so that the keyword becomes the anchor text for their url link – SEO wise highly effective – But outside of SEO, unfriendly and spamy – The blog owner in most cases will delete your comment too. Only add your name in the ‘Name’ field – no keywords.

That’s it – my blog commenting strategy is super easy and super simple and one of my most effective methods of getting back links for my web pages.

Do you have a blog commenting strategy and would you like to share a few tit-bits from it…

Best,
