My Post Blog Date
Yesterday I removed the date stamp from my individual blog posts. The date stamp is still there on the condensed post but once you click ‘read more’ the date stamp does not exist.

This date is all okay (above image). No problems. |

Now once I click the ‘read more’ the date shows again (above picture). This is the problem date. |
Let me know explain why this date is a problem.

This is how this post appears in Google (above picture). |
Not good – because the person searching for ‘reciprocal links’ in 2011 might not even click on this post because the post is dated in March 2010. I don’t want to deceive them by removing the date.
The thing is most of the content will probably still be applicable in a year from now and more.
Most professional bloggers actually remove this date so that the date does not appear in Google. This content is not breaking news – so why have the date there ?
So, I decided to remove the date. I downloaded single.php from my theme’s file – made a copy of the file for back up – made changes to the file (some very simple changes
) and uploaded the file back on to the server…That’s it…

Have you removed the dates from your blog posts (the detailed ones)…What are your thoughts on this topic ?
Best,
