Having a tough time with FaceBook – I have always hated its interface – Too unfriendly and nothing is obvious – This morning I noticed that it is puling only one post on my fan page – Should be easy to change this but just don’t know where to go and change – I am sure FaceBook would have hidden this feature some place where it is not obvious to anyone – anyone except the person who wrote it…I have already spent 30 minutes on it this morning – Moving away from it for sometime now…

When you use ‘more’ tag on your blog post, you only display a part of your post and to read the rest the reader will have to click the ‘more’ tag. I use ‘more’ tag on all my blogs and I love it.
If you don’t use the ‘more’ tag, then you will display the entire content of your post on the homepage – and not just of one post, but the number of posts your homepage is set to display – So, if your homepage is set to display 5 posts then you will be showing full content of your most recent 5 posts.

Displaying full posts like this can make your blog look quite ugly. And also the reader is going to get bored by lengthy content and might move away from your homepage after just scrolling through one or two posts. |
If you have ‘more’ tag then only excerpts of your posts will be displayed and the reader can quickly scan through the different posts you have recently written and if he likes to read one, he can start by reading the excerpt and then click the ‘more’ tag – so you are not missing out anything by using ‘more’ tag, in fact you are gaining.

- You need a personal account to create your fan page. If you don’t already have a personal account on Facebook, create one.
- Now log into your personal Facebook page.
I am feeling really blah day today – Hardly got anything much done at all – Actually, the day did not start well and that kind of spiraled through to the rest of the day.
My morning coffee and my walk on my tunturi was good – After that I started work on my you tube channel. I wanted to create a channel called ‘ImBizJourney’ – This you tube channel was going to be my central you tube channel – just like this blog.

Blog Commenting is an effective way of building back links to your web page – Not reciprocal links but one way links. Some people think it is old fashioned way of getting links and we should put our efforts into something more effective.
But from my personal experience, blog commenting is still very effective – I have many of pages ranked well in Google today – and blog commenting made a major part in that.

Just finished my morning cup of coffee – and am looking forward to a busy and productive Saturday. This week has really been super productive for me. I got a lot done. I was focused, had my to-do task list next to me (on my shelf), and kep’t going at it – one task at a time. This is my weekly task list and my week finishes tomorrow (Sunday). I still have a few items outstanding and I am planning to work on them today.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about how stressed I was – juggling my personal tasks and business tasks. I did not complete all my tasks for the month of February – I had a few outstanding.
Yesterday I removed the date stamp from my individual blog posts. The date stamp is still there on the condensed post but once you click ‘read more’ the date stamp does not exist.

One of the very first websites I started in my internet marketing business was a directory site. I built up a huge list of reciprocal links for this website. This directory website is doing well in search engines – but I think it is more because of content (I have almost 4000 pages indexed for this site) – I also have a few good articles with links to this site.

Reciprocal links did help with the ranking but not as much as the work I put in them. I have since dropped the idea of getting more reciprocal links. |
Reciprocal links are basically link exchanges – two websites place each others link on their website.
Description of a web page plays an important part in Optimizing your page. I normally give some thought to the description of my individual posts – I make sure they make sense and have the right keywords in them.
This morning I did search for my blog name in Google – I searched for imbizjourney.com. Look at the description of my blog:
I obviously had given no thought to the description and title tag of my home page – What a shame !!!
