Tunturi Treadmill – My Beloved…

by ImBizJourney

I am into my second cup of coffee and am feeling really good this morning. I got up early and did my 30 minute exercise. One of my goals for this year is to get back into shape (and lose all my pregnancy weight). My youngest is 3 and I have no more excuses.

Anyways, so far this year, I have really been quite regular with my exercise routine and have already lost a considerable amount of weight. I don’t have an elaborate exercise routine as such – It is quite simple and straightforward.

tunturi-treadmill I do a 20 minute walk on my Tunturi Treadmill and 10 minute of sit ups and push ups. So all in all it is a 30 minute exercise routine. I try to do this at least 5 days a week (and 6 days during most of the weeks).

I love my Tunturi Treadmill. I got it as a birthday gift in 2005. But I only started using it from November 2009. So it took a long time (years) to take the leap – Why I took so long I don’t know – I mean, I was busy but I wish I did at least 10 minute of exercise everyday.

But I am glad I have now started exercising – better late than never I guess :-)

I set my Tunturi Treadmill at the highest slope and then walk at a speed of 5.1 km/hr – I do this for 20 minutes. In future I plan to increase the speed a bit more – but at the moment this is the speed I can manage – Otherwise I get too exhausted.

Tunturi is a Finnish company and started out in 1922 as a bicycle manufacturer. They then moved into manufacturing mopeds (and became the market leader) and from there moved into fitness equipment. They manufacture a wide range of fitness equipment – treadmills, rowing, exercise bikes and cross trainers. It is a very reputable company and is the first choice of many commercial gyms.

I have only used the Tunnturi Treadmill and so am only going to talk about the treadmill in this post – There are various models of treadmills you can choose from. They vary in price and range between $1,500 and $3,000. I have the T40 model but mine is a slightly older one – The latest T40 looks a bit different (with more features).

Actually a friend of mine has the T20 (this is the lowest model) and is very happy with it.

When it comes to home or commercial treadmill, Tunturi is the market leader.

For home use Tunturi offers excellent value for money. Though there are Tunturi Treadmills for upwards of $2000, you can get a good model between $1500 and $2000.

A Tunturi Treadmill Lover,
